Fundies Say the Darndest Things!

Regularly updated list of quotes from various fundamentalist message boards. Too many quotes to pick an example, really, but try:

"The community college is offering viewing and study of Mars in this sky. The promotion in the fall registration brochure says Mars has not been this close to the earth in 57,000 years. (I laughed at that part because we all know the earth is not even 10,000 years old). So that means that Mars has never been this close... The Bible says in the last days there will be signs in the skies. Also, the past two years Earth has barely escaped being whacked by large asteroids. I am not making predictions or prophesying, but I'm wondering if this Mars thing could mean the antichrist is coming? Also, I think those asteroids (which whizzed by and weren't even noticed until they had gone by) could be God trying to tell us something."

Forgetfulness of things past

Neuroscientists may be about to make a Charlie Kaufman film into reality. Unfortunately, the film in question is not Being John Malkovich.

Blackspot sneakers - Adbusters' own brand of Nike-ass-kicking trainers

Adbusters produce a new, conversesque trainer using unionised workers and use guerilla marketing techniques to ram a pair as far up Phil Knight's ass as seems feasible.

White Deputy Chief Constable performs 'rap' at Black Police Association meeting

Further proof of my 'Chris Morris is now controlling consensus reality' theories.

Clive Wolfendale exposed the North Wales Black Police Association (NWBPA) to his flow, along with that of his colleague, NWBPA group secretary Rukhsana Nugent.

I'm just a white boy called the Deputy CC / They said I'd never make it as a bitchin' MC / You got it all wrong, cos now here I am / Giving it for real in the North Wales BPA jam

Everything you wanted to know about Silica Gel but were too aware of it's inherent tedium to ask

Greetings and welcome to the one and only site totally dedicated to Silica Gel, what I think is the most underappreciated substance in the world. Mostly anyone you ask has heard of Silica Gel, but many know nothing about it and few know more than a few basic facts. Fortunatly, I'm here to change all that, and inform the world about the beauty of Silica Gel.

I'm Crow DragonFire, and I'll be your tour guide. Just look around. I've tried to make the site fairly educational about Silica Gel, but funny too, because it's hard not to be funny with a site that's purely about one thing as obscure as Silica Gel. I just hope you have fun.

Jarmo's TOAD

Topical Odes Almost Daily.

The beef-eating boss of MacD's
Fell victim to blocked arteries...
The last call he barked,
As they defibbed his heart,
Was: "Hold the large shake with that, please!"

etc...

Playstation Controllers Used In Military Combat

There are reports that the US Military/Industrial/Entertainment complex has been repurposing playstation controllers as tank controls because the average grunt is so familiar with them.

Personally, I have long thought that this would be a good idea in cars - although, ironically enough, my preferred ideal car steering mechanism would be the 'tank style' double-handbrake combo used in Battlezone.

Sub-woofer/Sub-basement what's the difference?

"View of the center channel without the cinema screen for STEREO listening. The center channel is still used in the stereo system. We also do performe something sometimes, just to keep in touch with real sound. The center seat of the sofa is where real music and emotions live"
